The Westchester Fire Department gained tremendous communications capability when we received 4 Motorola Tri-Band portable radios that were ordered in Fall 2021. These radios will allow us to have communications interoperability with our police officers, county, state, and federal partners as needed. This is critical during an active shooter incident or disaster. These radios cost $8,000 each and are a substantial public safety investment.
