Several areas within the District are currently experiencing increased levels of West Nile Virus (WNV) within the adult mosquito population to the level where transmission to humans is likely.

The Westchester Fire Department will be conducting testing of fire hydrants in the Village. Fire hydrant testing is required for the Village's ISO (Insurance Service Office) score, which measures the fire prevention and fire suppression capabilities of Village.

The Westchester Fire Department proudly participates in the Illinois Fire Safety Alliance (IFSA) "Be Alarmed" program. Our Firefighters are available to assist residents-especially seniors-with proper smoke alarm placement and installation. 

Vehicle stickers may be purchased at any time throughout the year. They are valid for one year, from May 1 through April 30. Vehicle sticker fees double after April 30.
